Gramercy Park is chockfull of bars, but what sets Copper Door Tavern apart from the rest is its laid-back crowd, blend of live music and DJs on the weekends, and, of course, its staple roster of hot bartenders. The bar is nothing special to look at--a deep wood interior, with (surprise) a big copper door--but if you come with a crowd of friends, after a few shots you’ll be tearing up the dance floor. Lunch, dinner and happy hour specials abound offering everything from burgers to wings to sandwiches. This is a hardcore beer and well-drink bar, so if you’re looking for some frou-frou cocktails, try your luck elsewhere. But for a good time at a neighborhood tavern, stumble on over to the Copper Door.
